How does laser hair growth work?
LLLT has been shown to promote hair growth in both men and women with androgenetic alopecia. Research indicates that LLLT is absorbed into the cells, and this triggers enhanced cellular activity. The LLLT is thought to make aging cells more active, which works to increase their effectiveness in hair growth.

Does it actually work?
The treatment works best on those with thinning hair and pattern baldness caused by a hereditary condition, hair loss due to stress or medication taken. The treatment will not work on everyone, and it is unlikely to work on those with very little to no hair.

How quickly will I see results?
Studies have shown that the treatment can show results after different periods of time, for different clients. However on average clients saw some results after around 12 weeks of using the treatment. The combination of laser and micro needling has shown amazing results.

How these treatments work together?
The Dermapen treatment produces micro-injuries to the skin encourage and harness the power of the body’s innate ability to re-grow and repair the itself naturally. Micro needling or collagen induction therapy has been reported to be effective in reversing hair loss. It does this by stimulating blood flow, increasing the availability of cell nutrients, releasing vascular endothelial factor (VEGF), and upregulating fibroblast growth factor (FGF-7). As a natural hair loss treatment method, microneedling stimulates new cell production and encourages the growth of new hair. Hair loss in androgenetic alopecia depends on a testosterone derivative in the skin, dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Low level laser therapy helps to increase blood flow in the scalp and stimulate metabolism in catagen or telogen follicles, resulting in the production of anagen hair.
